Tafelspitz is a classic pantoscopic shape with a slightly angular "sweep" in the top rim from a slightly more solid frame rim with a decorative grooved profile. Tafelspitz is made of lightweight titanium with matching titanium nose pads and acetate temple tips. The "rounded brother" of Tafelspitz is the "Stelze" model.

Tafelspitz is a typical dish of the Viennese cuisine, whose name has Bavarian-Austrian roots. It consists in water (with soup vegetables) or broth boiled, whole piece of knöpfl or Schlegl (= tail piece, Tafelspitz) from the beef, which is then cut into slices.
