Congee is a rice porridge that is produced in Asia especially for breakfast in China. To prepare it, a portion of rice with ten to twelve parts of water or broth and cook for about four hours over a low heat. low heat cooked until the rice has broken down and a creamy, almost tasteless porridge has formed. Because of the long preparation time, Congee is usually kept in stock for several days.
