The first pepper mill was developed by Peugeot in 1842 - yes, by the same brand that later built cars! The basic design has hardly changed to this day because it simply works. The pepper mill not only brings flavour, but also freshness to the plate. Freshly ground pepper is more flavourful than pre-ground powder and gives every dish that certain something.
