Capuns is the name of a traditional dish from the Canton Grisons (Switzerland). These are in Chard leaves (typically chard used) or lettuce leaves wrapped packets from spaetzle doughwith herbs and country sausage cut into small pieces. Landjäger, Salsiz or Bündnerfleisch is enriched. Capuns are cooked in milk water. Depending on the recipe, they are topped with mountain cheese cheese on top. They are served with a sauce made from milk and water (half milk and bouillon). The chard leaves are also called capuns in the Grisons (Swiss) vernacular. also called capun leaves.
