Panforte is a sweet pastry from Italy. It is a speciality of the Tuscan city Siena and its surroundings (Province of Siena and also Massa Marittima). Panforte is above all a traditional Christmas pastry. Today it is also used outside the Christmas time as a dessert together with vin santo or espresso.
