POTICA is the queen of Slovenian festive pastries. In Slovenia, more than 80 different fillings are known, which are rolled into the yeast dough, hence the Slovenian name Potica (the word poviti actually means 'to wrap up'). Typical fillings are walnut, hazelnut, tarragon, poppy seed and curd.
