The Swabians love their spaetzle and so do we!
Apparently they have been around since 1725 or even longer. However, the helpful spaetzle slicer, invented by Mr Sonntag, has only been around since 1941. This resourceful man and his descendants have registered many more patents in favour of spaetzle. ‘The Godfather of Spätzle’, so to speak. P.S.: But some people prefer to scrape them over a board with a knife into hot water. This requires experience and feeling ;o)
